ECS Recruitment is seeking a Hotel Receptionist for a prestigious 4-Star Hotel in Dublin, County Dublin.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, and contributing to the overall positive guest experience. As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests and play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services:
Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a personalized and friendly arrival experience.
Provide accurate information about the hotel's facilities, services, and local attractions.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Check-In and Check-Out:
Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures, ensuring accuracy in reservation details and payment information.
Offer assistance with luggage handling and ensure guests are comfortably settled in their rooms.
- Reservations and Booking Management:
Manage room reservations through the hotel's property management system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Assist guests with booking inquiries, modifications, and cancellations, while maximizing room occupancy.
- Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Relay relevant guest information, requests, and special instructions to appropriate staff members.
- Cash Handling and Billing:
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and billing processes accurately and securely.
Provide guests with accurate invoices and receipts upon request.
- Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve any guest concerns or issues, escalating to higher management if necessary.
Strive to turn negative experiences into positive ones by demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills.
- Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and transactions.
Assist in preparing reports related to occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or front desk associate in a hotel environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Hotsoft or similar reservations system.
- Fluent written and oral English.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Dublin's local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is advantageous.
